radio broadcast journalism placements

Radio placements in Mexico

Our radio placements are based at the University of Guadalajara at Radio UdG. This placement has opportunities for those who want to gain experience as a broadcast journalist or production assistant.

Unlike university radio stations at home, the University of Guadalajara is one of the biggest radio stations in the region and broadcasts live, not only through the state of Jalisco but nationwide. The station also broadcasts live online and has quite an international following.

You will be able to help in all aspects of radio production. You will start off as a broadcast assistant, helping in all aspects of production, editing pre-recorded segments, preparing scripts, researching stories and guests through to broadcasting and interviewing.

Radio UdG is a Spanish language radio station so good conversational Spanish is essential for this project. If you would like to work behind the microphone, they will expect you to be fluent in Spanish.

Accommodation on this project is with families, usually sharing with another volunteer. You will be joined in Guadalajara by others on our medical, teaching and business projects. For more click here>>
